Onboarding process
Welcome to the onboarding section, where you’ll find key information on what’s required if your application is successful and how to begin your project.
Due diligence
Before receiving funding, applicants must complete a thorough due diligence process to ensure compliance with Elrha's standards. This process assesses organisational capability, governance, and financial management to confirm that funds will be managed responsibly.
Contracting
Once funding is approved, recipients will enter into a formal contract outlining the terms and conditions of the grant. This includes obligations, timelines, and reporting requirements. For more details, explore our contract templates and resources.
Meetings
Kick-Off meetings are crucial for aligning project goals and expectations. These meetings typically involve all key stakeholders, including project leads and team members. During the Kick-Off, participants will discuss the project timeline, deliverables, roles and responsibilities, and communication strategies to ensure a successful collaboration.
Budget review
The budget review process is an essential step in ensuring your project aligns with funding expectations. When submitting your budget, be prepared to provide detailed justifications for each line item. After the review, you will receive feedback that may require adjustments. Incorporating this feedback effectively will strengthen your budget and improve your chances of funding approval.

The standard timeline for the due diligence and contracting process, from award decision, is around 8 weeks, however this can be shorter or longer depending on several aspects. To achieve the intended timeline for your grant, we require you to provide us with the requested information by the submission deadlines. We will also provide a final deadline, where we may withdraw the funding if unable to complete the due diligence or contracting process, due to inability to provide all necessary information or no agreement between both parties on grant agreement clauses.
The time required to complete due diligence and contracting should be reflected in your proposed start date for study activities when you apply for funding.
