Infographic: R2HC's Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Portfolio
Experiencing a humanitarian emergency can significantly impact the mental health and psychosocial well-being of a person. It can have immediate as well as long-term consequences. Since 2014 we have been supporting research to ensure evidenced-based interventions for mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) in humanitarian crises.
This infographic illustrates why research for MHPSS is needed, and what Elrha's Research for Health in Humanitarian Crises (R2HC) programme has funded to increase the evidence-base for MHPSS interventions. It visualises the characteristics of our portfolio underscoring that rigorous research is possible in humanitarian crises, and highlights some of the interventions that our research studies have found to be effective.
