As part of their grant from the HIF, Dalberg in partnership with IFRC, developed guidance for setting up Hotlines in humanitarian emergencies. The goal was to help standardise the process of setting up and managing hotlines that have become commonplace in emergency response as a tool to communicate with communities.

Hotline in a Box is a set of tools, case studies, and tip cards, that will help you assess, set up, and manage different types of channels to communicate with communities during humanitarian crises.

These tools can be used to ease the process of setting up your own channels for communication, and will improve the quality of your communication with communities. They can be adapted to suit the needs of your project and local context.
