Robert Whitelaw

Rob joined Elrha in 2022 as an Innovation Manager within the Humanitarian Innovation Fund (HIF), and leads on work across the Scaling Innovation, and the Disability and Old Age Inclusion portfolios. Throughout the last eight years, Rob has worked in a variety of humanitarian and development contexts, including managing access-to-education initiatives in refugee and migrant settings on the Thai-Myanmar border, and working with UNICEF to better integrate Ghana’s social protection programmes and systems. Rob brings significant experience in designing and managing grant-making portfolios, holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Systems Thinking, and an MSc in Development Management. Rob is passionate about how systems thinking perspectives can be applied to humanitarian contexts and innovations, and how these approaches might lead to more inclusive and scalable innovations.
