Director of Finance and Operations
Peter Sargent joined Elrha in April 2025 as Director of Finance and Operations, bringing deep expertise in organisational development, strategic finance, and operational leadership. His work focuses on enabling high-impact, locally-led humanitarian action through effective strategic planning and business partnering.
Peter’s career spans senior roles with Concern Worldwide, Oxfam GB, and the UN, in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Sudan, and leadership positions at Humentum and United Purpose based in the UK. He has also supported numerous third sector organisations as an interim CEO and consultant.
A trained coach, he supports charity leaders to strengthen resilience and impact. Based in Cardiff, Peter volunteers as a trustee with Aelwyd and Oasis.
