Katrice King

WASH and Urban Humanitarian Adviser, FCDO

Katrice King is the WASH and Urban Humanitarian Adviser for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office of the British Government, she holds a PhD in resilience building in the humanitarian sphere and a Masters in water engineering. Katrice brings 12 years experience in humanitarian WASH programme management, technical advisory and research. Having been responsible for developing and coordinating large scale rapid responses, protracted crisis and development programmes in South Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Turkey, Bangladesh, Somalia, Haiti and India through various INGOs, such as Oxfam, Save the Children and CARE.

She is keenly interested in actively pushing key areas of innovation and institutional policy development to ensure a more effective rapid response, which is able to meet targeted needs, particularly of women and children, the elderly and persons with disabilities, and enables humanitarian action to stimulate rapid, resilient recovery following crisis events.
